Job Description:
Position Summary: Primarily responsible for cultivating and maintaining relationships between WorldVenture and its current and prospective charitable foundations. This includes coordinating all required research and development, preparing preliminary applications and grant proposals, and maintaining necessary correspondence and reporting.

Position Responsibilities:
• Establish and maintain administrative files and systems necessary for an effective foundation program
• Research and compile foundation records to effectively prospect new and existing funding opportunities
• Assist the VP of Partner Relations in soliciting and cultivating prospective foundations
• Initiate appropriate correspondence with foundations
• Schedule face-to-face meetings with foundations to maximize relationships
• Write detailed grant proposals (restricted and unrestricted requests)
• Maintain appreciation letters to maximize foundation relationships
• Coordinate necessary follow-up reports based on established criteria of individual foundations
• Identify opportunities for direct donor presentations by the President and/or VP of Partner Relations
• Maintain accountability systems to measure income progress against established objectives
• Participate in department functions (strategic planning, forecasting, budgeting, training)
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Time management: the ability to organize and manage multiple projects
• Well-developed written and verbal skills
• Ability to work independently
• Computer proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint; experience in Raiser’s Edge software preferred
• Experience in grant writing required
• Ministry or mission development experience preferred

Personal Qualifications:
• Enthusiastic Christian commitment and personal interest in the ministry of WorldVenture
• Christian character that reflects and embodies the Christian values, beliefs and principles foundational to WorldVenture, and a willingness to subscribe to the eight-point doctrinal statement
• Service-oriented attitude that welcomes answering questions and providing assistance to others
• A team player that displays humility and a learner’s attitude
• Dedication to WorldVenture’s vital and significant ministry
• Deep commitment to a personal relationship with God and a desire to serve Him in a world-wide ministry

Education or Formal Training: Undergraduate degree from an accredited institution. Equivalent of at least two years work-related experience in donor development. (Submission of previous proposals with references, and writing samples will be required during the interview process).
