Job Description


Salem Communications – Sacramento needs experienced Multimedia Marketing Consultants to sell our four stations: KFIA-AM710 (Christian Teaching & Talk), KKFS-FM103.9 “The Fish” (Contemporary Christian Music), KSAC-FM105.5 “Money 1055” (Business Talk), and KTKZ-AM1380 “The Answer” (News/Talk).  Our Marketing Consultants are our “front-line” people and interact every day with our local advertisers.  If you have a passion for sales and thrive in a high-activity, fast-paced, team-oriented sales position, we want to talk with you.



-   Prospecting, set appointments, conduct consultant interviews with new prospects

-   Write specific proposals that address prospect’s needs and goals

-   Plan, coordinate and write commercials for local businesses

-   Schedule and implement campaigns to maximize listener response while keeping within client’s budgetary constraints

-   Act as a liaison between clients and our stations as you service the client’s changing needs

-   Attend weekly sales meetings and training sessions

-   Assist in special promotions

-   Complete weekly prospecting reviews and sales projection reports


Compensation:  Determined & based on experience.  Benefits & 401K provided.


Skills Required:

-  Minimum of 3-years commissioned sales with proven track record of success

-  Out-going, enthusiastic, and supportive personality conducive to building rapport with new clients and sales team

-  Possess excellent written and oral communication skills

-  Be proficient in Word and PowerPoint

-  Able to manage multiple tasks and projects efficiently and effectively

-  Goal-achievement oriented individual that continually strives to improve

-  Reliable and punctual
