TITLE: GENERAL SALES MANAGER
Direct and oversee the local advertising sales efforts for Salem Communications of Tampa-St. Petersburg-Sarasota. Formats are Christian Teaching/Talk, News/Talk and Spanish Christian Talk. Key to this position is the ability to energetically and creatively
lead a sales team of 6 – 8 sellers in local direct spot marketing campaigns. Part and parcel will be assisting with the positioning of the station(s) to the local community and its advertisers; and developing successful digital and N.T.R. sales programs.
Qualified candidates must be able to recruit, train and motivate exceptional talent, towards the end goal of exceeding station financial/budget goals.

For consideration, candidates will have a track record of at least five years combining successful radio sales and sales management. Knowledge of conceptual local direct selling is essential. An understanding of the Evangelical Christian culture and its
leadership, issues and concerns is important. A track record in accurately managing and reporting pending business is critical. Lead-by-example sales leadership is essential, and bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
