The Pocket Testament League, a faith based nonprofit, is seeking a talented marketing person. If you're the kind of person who obsesses over details, thrives on taking initiative, loves to analyze numbers and jumps at the opportunity to take on new challenges, PTL may be the place for you.

 

We are a tiny team with a huge goal, to mobilize and equip Christians to reach the world with the Gospel. We all work from virtual offices. The ideal person would be self-motivated and be able to work from a home office with little supervision.

 

This hands-on role will work with the vp marketing to develop and implement advertising plans, collateral material, review analytics, website content maintenance and ensure the smooth and timely execution and evaluation of campaigns and projects. The ideal candidate has experience with online advertising (Google Ad Words, Facebook Ads, Bing), project management, Google Analytics, campaign management, as well as the experience to reach targeted audiences online.

 

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Daily conference call to review project status.
  • Generate and implement plans based on campaign objectives
  • Prepare weekly reports on outcomes
  • Analyze and report on all campaigns including cost per name acquisition, cost per new donor, etc.,
  • Prepare monthly reports by international region
  • Pull and analyze reporting on inventory of Gospels and other printed material
  • Coordinate printing of Gospels and other collateral material
  • Make recommendations to optimize marketing efforts
  • Ensure all information is correct on website
  • Coordinate and maintain all translation files for website, online ads and printed material
  • Coordinate and execute the email marketing plan including building emails
  • Manage online advertising
  • Work with Facebook content team to ensure posts are coordinated with ministry wide campaigns
  • Other projects as directed

Advertising Overview

Pocket Testament League wants to grow their member base through online advertising in the US and abroad (6 other languages and counting). There are 5 different engagement member levels that have already been defined. The focus of the online marketing efforts will be to cultivate and nurture level 3 (people that order gospels with no donation) to become level 4 (people that order gospels and donate) members.

 

All marketing efforts should be analyzed and reported on a weekly basis to ensure that PTL is able to quickly assess the most cost effective online marketing channels in order to meet established goals for the US and the other international countries they are serving.

 

The current advertising channels that are being used are Facebook, Google Ad words, and Bing Adwords.

 

The Marketing Manager will maximize the existing online marketing channels.

 

GOOGLE & BING ADWORDS

Daily management of Google and Bing Adwords for the purpose of driving new members to the website. 

• Keyword research

• Campaign monitoring

• Ad copy writing and A/B testing

• Testing to ensure CTR is maximized

• Landing page recommendation to reduce bounce rate and increase members

• International spreadsheet of translation for all ads updated weekly/monthly

• Building landing pages in both Hubspot and our own system

 

FACEBOOK ADVERTISING

• Keyword research

• Campaign monitoring

• Ad copy writing and A/B testing

• Image selection

• Working with graphic designer to properly size images

• Advanced Facebook advertising to maximize spend

• Testing to ensure CTR is maximized

• Landing page recommendation to reduce bounce rate and increase members

• Building landing pages in both Hubspot and our own system

• International spreadsheet of translation for all ads updated weekly/monthly

 

STRATEGY & ANALYTICS

A weekly meeting will take place to report and strategize moving ahead based on what has been working and identifiable areas that need improvement. 

• Analytics report delivered prior the meeting

• Landing page design and copy recommendations

• Strategic review with online marketing recommendations

 

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience in online advertising preferred
  • 1-2 years of marketing experience and a degree in marketing preferred
  • Superb organizational skills and communication abilities
  • Familiarity with workflow and management processes
  • Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint required
  • Proficiency with email marketing tools like Constant Contact or Mail Chimp
  • Exceptional attention to detail and follow through
  • Quick learner; critical thinking, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Desire to work in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously and remain calm under pressure
  • Ability to work from home and be self motivated.
