Job Description:

Because of continued success and growth, we have immediate PLUMBER positions available!  Various skill levels will be considered.

 

We also have immediate LABORER positions available!

PLUMBER Responsibilities include:

Performs skilled plumbing work (commercial and residential) in the assembly, installation, repair, testing, and maintenance of pipes, fixtures, equipment, and other plumbing used for new and/or existing water distribution, sewer, waste disposal, drainage, and gas piping systems to meet specifications and plumbing codes and safety.  Installs and repairs pipes, fittings, valves, fixtures, and plumbing system equipment, including sinks, toilets, water heaters, water softeners, etc.  Connects tubing and fittings using solder paste, or solder and torch, etc.  Reads blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks and waste and drainage systems.  Works with building principals and supervisors to complete projects.  Maintains accurate records on material and labor used.  May direct other workers.  Follows established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties including lifting, climbing, etc.  Other duties as assigned.

 

LABORER Responsibilities include:

Performs manual labor to assist (commercial and residential) in the assembly, installation, repair, testing, and maintenance of pipes, fixtures, equipment, and other plumbing used for new and/or existing water distribution, sewer, waste disposal, drainage, and gas piping systems to meet specifications and plumbing codes and safety.  This includes installation and repair of pipes, fittings, valves, fixtures, and plumbing system equipment, including sinks, toilets, water heaters, water softeners, etc.  Connects tubing and fittings using solder paste, or solder and torch, etc.  Maintains accurate records on material and labor used.  Performs manual labor to assist (commercial and residential) in the installation, maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, modification and repair of complex and simple HVAC systems and associated pumps, fans, chillers, boilers, duct air conveyance systems and other equipment.  Work is directed by others.  Follows established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties including lifting, climbing, etc.  Other duties as assigned.

 

Physical Demands (Plumbers and Laborers):

  • requires maintaining physical condition necessary for heavy, moderate and/or light lifting;
  • continual walking, standing or sitting for prolonged periods of time;
  • use hands and fingers to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls;
  • frequently lift, move and/or carry up to 50 pounds such as a toolbox, equipment or piping;
  • regularly lift and/or move up to 90 pounds such as equipment and piping;
  • frequently must bend, squat, stoop or kneel, crouch or crawl, climb, reach above the head and reach forward;
  • frequently bend or twist at the neck and trunk more than the average person;
  • digging;
  • work in tiring and uncomfortable positions, around gas lines, around fumes, outside and inside;
  • exposure to inside/outside temperatures;
  • drive truck and get in and out of truck;
  • walk on concrete floors;
  • climb stairs and/or on ladders;
  • physical ability to work at heights for extended periods of time;
  • talking, hearing, and seeing;
  • physical ability to tolerate required personal protective equipment such as steel toed shoes, work gloves, safety glasses, ear protection, dust masks, safety belts and safety shoes on a continuous basis. 

Educational Requirements:

High School or equivalent.
