Job title: Director of Sales & Marketing                                                                 

Reports to: President/CEO

 

 

The mission of Sandy Cove Ministries is to help people connect with God and each other in order to be transformed into the image of Christ, through His Word, His creation and community.

 

Position Summary: Responsible for annual Operational Revenue (2011-12 $7,200,000) .  Provide effective leadership and strategies for the Sales & Marketing team at Sandy Cove Ministries.  To implement innovative and effective approaches to increase guest nights and retention (while maintaining or exceeding an overall guest satisfaction of 3.8 out of 4) at the following Sandy Cove Ministries locations: Sandy Cove (North East, MD.), Camp Sandy Cove (High View, WV.), and any other possible expansion sites.

 

General Purpose: Getting and keeping guests for all Sandy Cove Ministries’ sites and programs so that people can connect with God and each other.

 

Role Qualifications:

¦ Missionally-minded, practicing Christian growing in Christ-likeness

¦ Commitment to the mission of Sandy Cove Ministries

¦ Minimum BA/BS degree (Sales, Marketing or Business degree preferred)

¦ 5+ years experience working in Sales, Marketing or combination

¦ 3+ years experience leading a Sales & Marketing team

 

Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:

¦ Provide Christ-like leadership to employees

¦ Meet or exceed annual guest night and revenues goals

¦ Target attaining a 70 percent guest rebooking rate

¦ Responsible for the strategic planning & implementation of all SCM group and

    program sales

¦ Lead the Group Ministry & Marketing teams to achieve goals

¦ Responsible for developing and implementing a retail strategy to maximize retail

    revenue

¦ Develop and maintain departmental annual budgets

¦ Participate in annual strategic planning

¦ Model Sandy Cove Core Values (Christ-likeness, Fun, People, Innovation,

    Community)

¦ Perform any other reasonable task assigned

 

Essential skills and experience

¦ Proven strong leadership skills

¦ Ability to communicate with and teach a variety of people in various circumstances

 

Nonessential skills and experience:

¦ Experience working in Christian camps, retreats, conference centers or hospitality

    related industries
