Position Title: Sr. Director Advancement [or] Development Director Department: Advancement
Reports To: VP, Advancement Salary Range: Sr. Director/Director Level
Assist all areas of Advancement: Fundraising (75%), Marketing (15%), Strategic Alliances (10%). Oversees specific functions of Marketing: CRM/Customer Service and elements of the Integrated Marketing Plan. Manage Foundation, Donor Engagement and Estate Gift
Design tactics. Coordinate resource development with Strategic Partners.
Essential Job Functions (listing most important first):
1. Report to VP Advancement and provide strategic function in coalescing effectiveness of
fundraising/marketing/resource alliance objectives to generate revenue for organization.
2. Develop and manage preferred Foundation partner targets to increase Foundation and
Corporate gifts according to annual goals. Manage caseload of giving organizations.
3. Assist in the development and management of the Estate Gift Design and Planned Giving
strategy identifying potential partners and assisting in President’s Weekend success.
4. Oversee Client Records Management system and inner office implementation for all CIY
programs, coordinating Integrated Marketing tactics to secure customer loyalty.
5. Coordinate reoccurring and new resource product development through strategic partners.
Essential Job Requirements:
EDUCATION: BA/BS Business Adm., Graduate degree preferred, Fundraising Credential +
Minimum of 5+ years in areas of customer service or fundraising or marketing.
EXPERIENCE Critical and strategic thinking, computer savvy, personable comm. skills
REQUIRED SKILLS Self-starter, solutions specialist with sales-minded responsibility.
PREFERRED SKILLS Must be able and willing to travel and meet with donors
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS Must be willing to travel 40+ nights annually.
