Computer and Network Support Technician

This is a field technician / consulting position. Support services are done onsite at customer locations or over the phone using various remote access technologies. Reliable transportation is critical.

Npsgroup will consider candidates at all levels of technical expertise. Users seeking to expand their skill set have a great opportunity for training and advancement; proficient individuals have an opportunity to begin serving clients immediately.

This position is responsible for supporting various operating systems (primarily Microsoft) on a variety of desktop and, laptop computers. Support services include workstation installation, troubleshooting of end user systems, server configuration / support, back up technologies, internet connections, network connectivity, mobile device support and various other technologies Knowledge of Microsoft Server technologies is very helpful.

Duties may include but not limited to:
Support user workstations with operation of computer systems and productivity applications
Install, configure and deploy workstations
Install, configure and deploy various accessories, printers, scanners, connected copiers, smart phones etc.
Install, configure and deploy network servers: file & print, SQL, Exchange, Remote access,
Install, configure and deploy Network security: firewall, vpn, spam filter, content filtering
Troubleshoot E-mail, spam
Troubleshoot - Install - Various forms of internet connectivity
Antivirus, Spyware, protection system management and deployment
Back up system installation, management and operation
Develop and deploy disaster recovery strategies
Stay in touch with current technologies offering suggestions and testing solutions to meet needs of clients.
Maintain system documentation and inventory tracking
