The Director of People Services (DPS) attends to the organization’s greatest and most strategic asset, its people. The successful DPS will competently focus the PS team, subject to prayer and the direction of the Holy Spirit, to oversee that the responsibilities
of the People Services Department are successfully executed. The DPS shall generally be responsible throughout the mission for the following responsibilities including, but not limited to: Recruitment and Selection, Employee Assimilation and Training, Employee
Development, Employee Relations, Performance Management, Compensation Compliance, Benefits Administration, Policies and Procedures and knowledge and understanding with adherence to all national, state and local requirements of employment within a missionary
sending NPO. The effective DPS will also be an effective leader that promotes a high-performance, service-oriented culture both within the department and throughout the organization, promoting and setting standards for: clear responsibility, defined authority,
appropriate accountability and needed supervisory support for each member of the East-West team. The DPS will oversee, direct and carry out activities relating to all people activity, interfacing both with the Mobilization and Missionary Care departments
regularly and relying on Biblical principles, experience and judgment to accomplish ministry goals.
