We have an incredible ministry and professional opportunity for a Media Relations Assistant Manager
to provide regional and national media support to the Media Relations team of Operation Christmas Child (OCC) in the national headquarters located in Boone, North Carolina. This is a paid, full-time position.
The Media Relations Assistant Manager will support the Media Relations Manager in promoting OCC within the U.S. with the hope of expanding OCC participation. Responsibilities include: working with and through national and regional media partners and outlets,
researching and developing media partnerships, overseeing Media Relations Associates in Boone and regional offices, assisting with managing the national speakers bureau, assisting with regional office staff communication and relationships, and managing partnership
and media initiatives – including both traditional and social platforms. All candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Candidates must have media/public relations experience in written and verbal communications and must be proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel. Strong candidates will also adhere to the Samaritan’s Purse statement of faith and be committed to the mission
and vision of Operation Christmas Child. Domestic travel is required.
