Serves as a planning specialist within the Office of Corporate Planning with a concentration on strategic and long term planning. Strategic and long term planning expertise is employed in the development/update of the strategic and long term planning processes at Compassion and in the facilitation, training, communication, coordination, and implementation of these processes. Includes working as an internal consultant to the Office of Corporate Planning’s customers and stakeholders. Responsible for assisting the Corporate Planning Director in the development, management and implementation of Compassion’s Corporate Planning Cycle. Assists in the support and training of Corporate Planning’s customers throughout the enterprise and assisting in the development of reporting tools and methods to offer appropriate information to Compassion’s decision makers.

Duties and Responsibilities
Has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ, maintains a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of Compassion, and faithfully upholds Compassion’s ministry in prayer.
Acts as an advocate for children - raising the awareness of the needs, neglect, nurture, and potential of children in poverty and challenging and enabling those within one's influence to greater involvement and effectiveness on behalf of children.
Acts as a planning specialist within the Office of Corporate Planning with a concentration on strategic and long term planning.
Manages Corporate Planning’s role regarding the implementation of strategic and long term planning processes at Compassion and conducts facilitation, training, communication, coordination, and implementation of these processes.
Ensures that strategic planning is integrated with Compassion’s official Balanced Scorecard strategy management system.
Represents Corporate Planning in a variety of situations and also in the absence of the Corporate Planning Director.
Develops and provides analytical reports for all of Compassion by developing and maintaining spreadsheets and databases with corporate information.
Prepares and analyzes reports to ensure that Compassion’s decision makers have the necessary data to make informed decisions.
Conducts training and facilitation activities for Balanced Scorecard, planning and related software, including at the GMC, Partner Country, regional, area, and field level as needed in a generalist customer service capacity.
Serves as an internal consultant to the Office of Corporate Planning’s customers and stakeholders.
Assists in updating and managing Compassion's Corporate Planning Cycle and with the coordination of Corporate Planning and Ministry Innovation
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for working effectively internally and externally.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
Demonstrates servant's heart, professional demeanor, and confidence.
Ability to multi-task and work under pressure, working flexible hours when needed.
Significant experience with the following Microsoft products is required: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access and ability to learn and manage additional planning and financial software systems.
Must have good judgment and maturity to handle confidential information with discretion.
Understanding of organizational planning models and an aptitude for applying various software tools to the models. Of particular importance is a high level of expertise and experience with strategic and long term planning efforts.
Ability to understand customer’s organizations and strategies in order to appropriately serve them and integrate and align their planning and strategy development/management activities to the enterprise-wide systems.
Understanding of budgeting processes preferred.
Ability to travel internationally to participate in training events as needed.
