Title: Church Relations Manager – New England Area Office (Manchester, NH)
Must possess a vibrant relationship with Christ and agree with Joni and Friends’ statement of faith. Must be a self-starter, a team player, effective manager and have strong interpersonal skills. Minimum of 3 years successful supervision experience. Experienced
in leading ministry/services with people affected by disability, ideally in local church. Experienced in implementing and fulfilling organizational, program and project objectives. Ability to multi-task and to give attention to detail while administering major
tasks, goals, and objectives. Must be experienced in equipping and leadership development. Track record of recruiting and training volunteers. Successful church based or mission fundraising, plus a good working knowledge of churches, church operations, denominational
distinctive, clergy activities, and responsibilities. Ability to work with and be sensitive to the variety of church doctrinal and church cultural distinctives. Has a commitment to strive for the unity of the Spirit amongst professing Christians while holding
to the Joni and Friends Statement of Faith. Strong written and oral communication and organizational skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications required. Must drive and be flexible to regularly work evenings and weekends.
Bachelor’s degree preferred, Associates degree considered with three years related management experience.
Reports To: Area Director
Salary: Commensurate with experience and per area of country
Duties: (include but are not limited to)
Serve the local church and community by actively advancing Christian disability ministry and outreach with people with disabilities and their families.
Champion equipping and integration initiatives within the church relations ministry programs including Family Retreat, International Outreach, Special Delivery, Global Media Outreach, curriculum and resources, electronic communication, speaking engagements,
and meeting with church leaders, disability ministry staff and lay workers.
Liaison and integrate with Church Relations Coordinator and other Church Relations Managers to develop, promote and incorporate the use of relevant "best practices."
Develop and lead Church Relations internship and volunteer program within the local office.
Plan and provide leadership development for those involved in ministry with people affected by disability.
To promote, facilitate and lead Joni and Friends TTR and other training materials, including Beyond Suffering, for awareness and education in churches and educational settings at every level.
