We have an exciting opportunity for a talented professional gifted with the ability to embrace an organization’s vision and drive the programs, people and teams to achieve and exceed it! Working from the foundation of biblically-based volunteer management
principles (High Impact Volunteer Ministry), the Manager, International Volunteer Relations will invest in the development of 100+ volunteer teams serving at the national and regional levels in more than 90 OCC countries.
This position will provide training, coaching and accountability for 18 international regional team staff as they guide and coach OCC volunteers around the world, including developing measurable indicators of effectiveness. The role of Manager, International
Volunteer Relations will be directly involved in mobilizing volunteer leaders from the largest volunteer network in the world – the local international church! A passion for empowering volunteers in the spirit of Ephesians 4:11-16 is desired.
You may be called to this role if you possess:
- Solid history of effectively inspiring, leading and managing volunteers
- Experience in leading large-scale volunteer management programs with an emphasis on knowledge and implementation of high volume volunteer management systems (preferably High Impact)
- A passion for training and coaching leaders and teams that are dedicated to delivering Gospel presentations for children
- Familiarity with strategic planning , development and implementation of training programs
- Ability to build and foster relationships across the matrix of an organization
A successful candidate in this role has the opportunity to be involved as the point person for preparing and developing materials for both in-country training and international remote training of volunteer National/Regional Leadership Teams and International
Field Representatives, and to partner with staff and volunteers to give them the tools to bring the light of Christ to children all over the world through our programs.
Position will include up to 75 travel days with a global portfolio.
A Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years’ related international ministry experience, or equivalent, required. Second language proficiency is preferred, but not required. Twelve credit-hours of college-level Biblical Studies courses highly preferred. Should maintain
a personal relationship with Jesus Christ; be a consistent witness for Jesus Christ.
