  • Administer financial transactions:
    1. Receive, review, evaluate, process invoices/bills from vendors
    2. Banking
    3. Purchasing
    4. Petty Cash
    5. Monitor budget/coordinate budget preparation
    6. Prepare payroll and related reports
  • Oversee and administer receipts from students, staff, and contributors
  • Develop, update, and maintain student financial records
  • Supervise maintenance of buildings and grounds
  • Administer married student/staff housing
  • Coordinate office equipment maintenance and operation
  • Represent SUM Oakland to local civil authorities and agencies
  • Administer safety and security functions and procedures including managing the keys for the facility
  • Assist Chancellor or other departments as needed on special projects
  • Interact positively with other staff and act as a positive role model and mentor for students
  • Reports directly to the VP of Finance
  • Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.


 Competencies Required:


  • Degree in business or accounting preferred, work experience/training will be considered
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks
  • Strong organizational and general office skills, ability to multi-task
  • Work well as a team player
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Ability to work effectively with deadlines
