Job Description:

Cherish Center a local, non profit organization in Northwest Iowa, is seeking an Executive Director.  Cherish Center is a Christ centered ministry which strives to transform lives, strengthen families, and enhance communities. Our services include a residential program for those with unplanned pregnancy, assisting them in parenting / adoption decisions; as well as mentoring/counseling for young mothers, young dads, as well as for married couples.

 

The Executive Director must be a committed follower of Jesus Christ and a passionate, visible advocate capable of leading the organization while engaging the community served. This servant leader will have gifts in:

  • Verbal and written communication

  • Managing a fast moving, diverse, program rich environment

  • Relationship building within the organization and out in the community

  • Fundraising

  • Public Relations / Marketing: Sharing the story of Cherish Center

 

Applicants Must:

  • Agree with Cherish Centers mission, core values and Statement of Faith

  • Be experienced in nonprofit management and fundraising

  • Have strong and effective oral, written and technological communication skills (use of microsoft office and social networking technology is essential)

  • Demonstrate success leading a team and developing staff

  • Be passionate about making a difference in the lives of young women, families, and the community
