The Brookwood Community is a growing program offering a unique residential teaching position in one of our beautiful group homes.  Brookwood is an internationally recognized, private, not-for-profit residential community for adults with special needs located on a beautiful 485-acre campus in Brookshire, Texas.  We are a God-Centered organization currently in our twenty-seventh year of providing a lifestyle that meets the occupational, social, recreational, and spiritual needs of our citizens.


As a Residential Teacher or Residential Teaching couple, successful candidates will manage and oversee every aspect of the daily living activities and not limited to medication administration, meal prep, and personal care while maintaining and cultivating a family life atmosphere in one of our residential homes.



Mission-oriented with a desire to serve God by providing a nurturing environment for our population,

A U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident,

Twenty-one (21) years of age or older,

A valid driver’s license with the ability to obtain a CDL, if necessary,

Ability to pass State and Federal criminal background and driving checks,

CPR and First Aid Certifications or the ability to obtain them,

An enthusiastic willingness to learn, grow, and change,

Previous supervisory or management experience,

Two (2) or more years of residential group home or direct care experience especially working with the elderly or those with special needs,

Must have the physical ability to climb stairs,

Background in psychology, social service, or special education is a plus!
