JOB TITLE: PART-TIME PARAPROFESSIONAL/BOOKKEEPER

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Prepare monthly bank reconciliations

    a. This includes preparing and/or posting the necessary journal entries to balance the account.

    b. This includes alerting the client to old/outstanding items that need to be voided.

 

2. Prepare and post monthly and/or quarterly investment activity entries

 

3. Maintain monthly and/or annual fixed asset schedules

      a. CapinCrouse has fixed asset software that can be used for this.

 

4. Reconcile general ledger to contribution module

    a. This can be done monthly or annually.

 

5. Prepare monthly financial statements, including Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Dashboard Reports, and other specialized reports requested by the board

 

6. Prepare and post monthly payroll entries

 

7. Review general ledger detail and prepare and post any necessary reclass entries or month-end accruals

 

8. Input annual budget and recommend chart of account changes to help improve efficiency and reporting

 

9. Post accounts payable and contribution information on a weekly basis

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

1. Previous bookkeeping experience preferred

2. Reputation of integrity, even in conflictive situations

3. Ability to produce high-quality work while meeting deadlines

4. Ability to multi-task

5. Above average ability to learn and use computer software

6. Ability to develop open and trusting relationships

7. Ability to work in a team

8. Ability to motivate him/herself to grow professionally and serve with excellence

9. Ability to assume responsibility for and complete agreed upon assignments

10. Desire to work as a professional in a CPA firm with CapinCrouse’s values and mission

11. Passion to serve others, especially nonprofit organizations
