International Health Services

Seeking its inaugural Director for Advancement, International Health Services is a training organization equipping healthcare professionals model the ultimate Christian bedside manner of the Great Physician. IHS offers this training via international partnerships so the reality of Jesus is communicated in the course of normal medical routines.

This DA reports to the Founder/President; provides staff support and counsel in development and gift support matters. As a member of the Executive Team, the DA contributes to IHS-wide matters including vision, mission, core values and strategic planning. Naturally they need to be aligned with the vision, mission, beliefs and community standards of IHS.

Well-qualified individuals may be in a Christian or a secular context with leadership for advancement and/or fund development for both domestic and global causes. In fact, the DA should have a track record of success with major donors who have given into mid five-figure levels.

The last five-to-ten years should have been devoted to fundraising based on relationship cultivation and retention. Educational background marked with the curiosity of a life-long learner. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent is important. Postgraduate and/or theological training would be well-received.

Demonstrated success in networking, donor relations and fund development. This includes conceptualizing, planning and implementing a comprehensive communications, advancement, development program. Ample evidence of positive fund development leadership and results in a cooperative, collaborative way.

Likeable, respected and engaging as an individual; noted for group leadership; exceptionally cross-functional, refreshingly people-oriented, and relentless in solidifying productive relationships.
