Job Description:

The Executive Assistant is experienced in operating at the highest level, assisting the President and Executive Director of a multi-million dollar, 40+ staff member, Christian non-profit organization in furthering the mission of bringing biblical education to the world, for free.


Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills; effective scheduling abilities; a precise and accurate work style; the ability to prioritize work; maintain confidentiality; a professional appearance and telephone manner; a calm approach to pressure; and the ability to manage the President and Executive Director through efficient administrative support are the most important qualifications of the role. 


The Executive Assistant manages the President's and Executive Director's calendar; e-mail; contact lists; arranges domestic and international travel; keeps the President and Executive Director apprised of all appointments and commitments; prepares and edits written correspondence and presentations; assists the President and Executive Director in building and maintaining relationships with staff and constituency; receives and prioritizes items (phone calls, mail, e-mails, etc.) for the President's and Executive Director's review and action; works with office staff to ensure the President and Executive Director are prepared for all meetings and have all logistical information. The Executive Assistant anticipates the President's and Executive Director's needs; takes initiative; and serves as home base for the President and Executive Director who travel frequently.


The Executive Assistant reports to and works closely with the Executive Director to manage the President's time. The Executive Assistant is a key team member of the Leadership Team and works well in a team environment; serves as first backup for phones and welcoming guests to the ministry; and participates in weekly staff and prayer meetings. Work hours are 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday, with a one hour unpaid lunch.  There may be ad hoc after hours requests requiring immediate attention especially in the event of traveling issues.


Driver license and good driving record required as well as minimum auto insurance coverage of 100,000/300,000.
