Job Description:

Summary:  The Global Specialist primarily provides specialized training, services, information, and expertise to ACSI North American member schools in the area of international student programs. He or she also provides assistance on various projects to ACSI’s Global department, which focuses on serving ACSI member schools outside of North America.




  1. Coordinate International Student Program (ISP) Services

             Create strategic plan and draft annual budget

             Serve as primary point of contact for member schools and regional offices

             Post announcements and respond to inquiries

             Provide consultation to member schools and regional offices

             Develop and deliver training

             Manage the approved provider program

             Promote, develop, and answer questions about ISP publications



2.    Global Department Representation and Special Projects


             Represent the Global team at ACSI events

             Assist in writing and editing materials, including magazine articles and accreditation resources



  • Master’s degree preferred, preferably in intercultural studies, international studies, education, or a related field
  • Ability to work independently with a high degree of initiative
  • Proven track record and minimum of three years experience working in a cross-cultural context strongly desired
  • Experience working with children and/or teenagers in a school or church education setting with classroom experience preferred
  • Strong communications skills in both speaking and writing, including intercultural communication ability, with a good command of grammar and editing
  • Experience in writing and developing publications and the ability to work with editors and design artists
  • Ability to quickly grasp new concepts, ideas, and vision and provide advice and strategy in how to implement them
  • Ability to conceptualize, research, and follow through on new projects
  • Ability to develop presentations and deliver them with excellence
  • Experience providing consultation and training to educators
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a wide variety of people and skill-sets
