Job Description:

AM 1160 WYLL Chicago is looking for a talented and motivated broadcasting professional who will participate is the creation of compelling and relevant radio on the country’s third largest radio market. This is a part-time position that will require approximately 25 hours per week.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

-        Operating the audio board during the show, which includes working with talent and Executive

         Producer to include appropriate complimentary audio and managing phone calls for listener

         interaction

 

-        Editing and uploading daily show replays to show website and producing daily show podcast

 

-        Identifying, editing, and archiving “Best Of” segments for future use

 

-        Producing daily show promos in partnership with Executive Producer

 

-        Preparing documents for show preparation

 

-        Assisting Executive Producer in booking guests as assigned

 

-        Participating in show promotions as needed

 

-        Participation in execution of donor development campaigns

 

 

Qualifications include:

 

-        A minimum of two years of broadcast experience, preferably in a Christian talk and teach or spoken

         word format

 

-        Familiarity with the Bible, Christian theology, current events, pop culture, and Chicago news

 

-        Working knowledge of digital audio production and automation software, preferably Cool Edit 

         and/or Adobe Audition and NexGen

 

-        The editorial initiative to identify and pitch compelling segment ideas to the Executive Producer

 

-        The ability to work in a fast-paced work environment

 

-        A self-starter approach to your work

 

-        A willingness to receive constructive, creative criticism
