Located in Wilmette, IL, Regina Dominican High School, a college preparatory school sponsored by the Adrian Dominican Sisters, provides excellence in Catholic education to young women of all races, cultures and faiths. The Director of Institutional Advancement will focus on developing a broad vision for Institutional Advancement at Regina Dominican, restructuring the Institutional Advancement office as needed, and building a significant major gift program. In the course of normal work the Director will be expected to engage donors in cultivation and solicitation occurring outside the office, working with the President and the Board in heightening relationships with key donors. It is anticipated that this position will average approximately 50 percent of the time external to the office, be it in local visits or national travel.

Regina Dominican High School seeks a visionary and strategic professional with management experience and demonstrated success in budget preparation, planning and resource management, and staff development and supervision. A successful candidate will demonstrate a successful track record in soliciting major gifts from individuals, corporations and foundations, or have related professional experiences in similar industries. A passion for the mission of Regina Dominican High School and Catholic education is essential.
4 to 6 years progressive experience in development in a wide variety of areas, including, but not limited to major gift initiatives and administrative planning. Experience with capital campaigns and board/volunteer work is preferred.
•Minimum of 3 years in leadership and a supervisory position with the proven ability to build, lead, mentor, and manage an organization/department.
•Active faith life, familiarity with Catholic practices and education, and willingness to participate in the school’s religious activities as appropriate.
•Familiarity with and commitment to Catholic education in the Dominican tradition and female-centered education.
•Ability to work outside standard work hours and to travel locally and nationally; a current driver’s license is required.
