Forest Home Recreation Department

Recreation at Forest Home consists of multiple ropes and aquatics facilities and elements used by a broad range of people of all ages and backgrounds. Zip lines, climbing walls, high ropes, low ropes, trout fishing pond, Game room, and lake and pool facilities during the summer season (May – September) are areas for guests to experience the fellowship and camaraderie of the recreation staff, and the unique experiences the staff make possible.

What are we Looking For

Our Recreation department is looking for an Aquatics & First Aid Supervisor who has an evident and growing relationship with Jesus Christ, a self-starter who has a passion for nurturing relationships, and a love for aquatics. A successful candidate will have demonstrated management experience in the aquatics field, strong supervisory skills and ability to motivate a team, and a strong sense of safety with the ability to implement good practices.


  • Participates as an active member of the Recreation Leadership Team.
  • Manages all aspects of Aquatics and First Aid, maintaining industry standard, techniques and safety procedures
  • Responsible for hiring, corrective action, training, performance, and management of staff in Aquatics and First Aid areas
  • Maintains all aquatics facilities, water quality, and equipment
  • Manages and maintains First Aid services, supplies, and staff in accordance with Government and ACA regulations
  • Responsible for records of treatments and dispositions in the medical log book, and to maintain appropriate and orderly patient records and consent forms
  • Evaluates staff on a regular basis to improve safety, performance, teaching techniques and facilitation skills
  • Evaluates safety policies, potential hazards, close-calls/accidents, and develops action plans to address problem areas
  • Responsible for proper documentation and administrative work relative to areas of responsibility
  • Actively supports and develops staff spiritual life activities
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • College Degree preferred
  • Certified in American Red Cross CPR/AED, First Aid & Lifeguarding
  • 3yrs. of lifeguarding experience
  • Medical experience preferred
  • Management experience
  • Strong office experience and excellent computer skills
  • A self-starter
  • Excellent people service skills
  • Ability to provide service with integrity
  • Ability to streamline processes and creatively solve problems
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong ability to work well within and lead in a variety of team environments
  • Regular, timely attendance
  • Signed statement of faith
  • Servant heart and Christ-like attitude
