Job Description:

I.      Job Summary

 

  • Exercises responsibility for all Search for Jesus volunteer field staff activity throughout the United States for English and Spanish speaking ministries, and for recruiting, training, and supervising team of Regional Managers to communicate and implement national vision, strategy, and goals of Search for Jesus throughout the United States

 

II.           Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Serves as immediate supervisor and manager of Regional Managers in all designated sections of the United States
  • Provides leadership to Regional Managers in recruitment, hiring, evaluation, conflict resolution, and employee guidance and correction
  • Ensures integration of High Impact principles into regional and area team Ministry Plans, job descriptions, Regional Ministry Assessments, and employee evaluations
  • Ensures ongoing development of Search for Jesus volunteer culture throughout field staff
  • Represents and advocates for for needs of volunteers and field staff to Director, Internet Evangelism and to relevant Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA) departments and leadership
  • Monitors conflict among field staff and critical volunteer relationships, leading to Biblical resolution through management staff
  • Provides leadership and strategy input to Director, Internet Evangelism for vision and goals of Search for Jesus USA toward new annual initiatives
  • Leads and develops effective training strategies and tools for field Search for Jesus Regional Managers and Area Coordinators
  • Sets and monitors goals, plans of action, and ongoing monitoring, with Regional Managers, toward volunteer area team development
  • Coordinates with Director, Internet Evangelism to set goals and vision for future of field ministry, including the next generation of volunteer leadership and field management
  • Participates in prayer support for ministry, donors, and volunteers
  • Maintains strong Christian witness to colleagues, vendors, charitable beneficiaries, and general public

 

               Marginal Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Fulfills additional duties assigned by Director, Internet Evangelism

 

III.          Reporting Relationships

 

  • Reports to Director, Internet Evangelism
  • Coordinates with Discipleship Manager and Spanish Ministry Coordinator
  • Oversees Volunteer Regional Managers

 

IV.          Job Specifications

 

               A.  Skills and Knowledge

 

  • Bachelor-level degree, seminary degree, or advanced degree preferred, with minimum of four (4) years’s related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in English
  • Ability to fluently read, write, and speak in Spanish is required
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports and legal documents
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from Regional Supervisors
  • Ability to gain and maintain acceptance by broad range of evangelical leadership
  • Demonstrated self-motivation and ability to motivate others
  • Ability to build teams across different denominational, traditional, and ethnic boundaries
  • Good administrative skills and business understanding
  • Excellent interpersonal, telephone, and written communications skills
  • Good management skills, with ability to identify and delegate tasks and to promote good coordination among teams
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general competency using web-based applications
  • Ability to function as a team player
  • Ability to concentrate on details, and to demonstrate thoroughness and accuracy
  • Ability to be flexible with changing priorities

 

               B.  Physical/Mental Demands

 

  • Ability to travel as assigned

 

C.  Working Conditions

 

  • Work is typically performed in conventional office environments
  • Frequent travel is required to meet with Regional Managers and to promote ministry
