The Salvation Army Kroc Center is hiring a Sports & Recreation Manager. seeking a candidat with a whole-athlete approach: holistic, whole-person approach to sports & recreation, grounded in faith.
This is a full-time exempt position to serve as a member of the Athletics Management team.
General duties include: programming, scheduling & staffing within the areas of leagues, skatepark, rockwall & ensuring the safe & effective operation of facilities in which these activities take place. As a part of the Athletics Team, the Sports & Recreation
Manager performs Manager-on-Duty responsibilities, overseeing associates working in the Athletics venues, monitoring facility for safety, ensuring athletic programs are properly set-up and staffed, and assisting with member and guest inquiries. Additional,
related, duties may be assigned. Typical work week for this position is Tuesday through Saturday, including one - two closing shifts per week (9:15pm). Candidates must be flexible and available to work various nights/ weekends, both as a part of the regular
schedule and for occasional special events.
Qualifications include: previous experience in developing, planning, managing, and supervising leagues and athletics programs/facilities, bachelor’s degree in Recreation, Sports Management or a related field or a minimum of three year’s experience in a supervisory
capacity, possess and maintain current certification in CPR & First Aid, & philosophy of education and child development consistent with The Salvation Army.
