Support Services Coordinator

Team, and Volunteers
Shares a Christ-like servant leadership spirit while working with the AHG Staff, volunteers and
general public. Develops volunteer support and management techniques to assist Charter
Organizations, Troop Coordinators and Unit Leaders to uniformly deliver the AHG program.
Provides direct service support to all Troops within assigned territory through phone calls,
emails etc. Provide training and support as needed, and creates resources to improve volunteer
Specific Duties including, but not limited to:
I. Support of Current Charters and Troops.
A. Serve as main contact to the Charter and Troop volunteers assisting them in delivering the AHG program.
B. Regularly contact each Troop to ensure efficacy of AHG ministry within the Troop setting.
C. Create resources to improve volunteer satisfaction.
D. Secure and maintain necessary records and reports for each Troop to ensure uniformity within the AHG ministry.
E. Assist Troops through the re-chartering and membership renewal processes.
F. Assist with coaching leadership ministry teams to resolve any conflicts that may arise with the help of the Troop’s Charter Representative.
G. Build personal relationships with Charter Organizations through the Chartering Representative.
H. Work closely with other Support Services and Membership Team managers.
I. Approve troop trips, fundraising activities, regional camp opportunities, level awards and adult recognition applications.
J. Provide training support as needed to increase the awareness and understanding of the AHG program to new AHG volunteers.
K. Educate volunteers on the use of electronic forms and other media delivered by the web.
L. Assist with creation of leader development materials for use by AHG ministry volunteers.
A. Prepare quarterly plan of work, schedules, and tactics to focus on objectives.
B. Log data, maintain files.
C. Assume additional duties that are required from time to time.
A. Understanding of the AHG program and the needs of a volunteer (AHG experience is preferred but not required).
B. Strong conflict resolution skills and effective listening and coaching skills.
C. Effective communicator with strong verbal written skills.
D. Ability to organize, manage time, fulfill responsibilities in a timely manner.
E. Willingness to learn new concepts and be coached on new initiatives.
F. High level of integrity and confidentiality.
G. Professional demeanor in dress, behavior, attitude and loyalty to AHG.
H. Agreement with AHG’s Statement of Faith and currently enjoying a growing walk with Christ.
I. Strong desire to help others succeed.
J. Good public relations and telephone skills.
K. Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
L. Ability to walk long distances and/or stand for long periods of time, on occasion.
M. Ability to train and retain volunteers.
N. College degree is preferred although not mandatory.
O. Proficient in email, internet, MS Word and Excel.
