Staff Development Manager / Human Resources (1300)


Boone, NC-  Is your passion ensuring people have what they need to be successful?  Do you have a strong HR generalist background and demonstrated experience handling complex employee relations matters?  Are you skilled in leading talent management functions including onboarding, orientation, performance management, and employee development?

We are seeking an HR professional with significant employee relations and employee development experience.  In addition to managing all aspects of employee relations across Samaritan’s Purse (SP) they will, in collaboration with the Learning and Development team, develop, implement and measure organizational learning and people development in support of ministry priorities.  

Skills/Requirements: • Strong desire to work for a global ministry • Master’s degree in education, organizational effectiveness, human resources or related field; plus five to seven years of HR generalist experience, instructional design and/or corporate training experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. • Proven history of effectively managing employee relations; easily builds trust across the organization, understands the needs of the organization and the employee • A strong track record of managing, developing and measuring exceptional competency-based employee development resources and initiatives • Deep understanding of adult learning techniques and experience with learning management systems as well as a working knowledge of technology-enabled, blended, e-learning and distance learning tools • A natural collaborator; able to work in a complex environment  • An exceptional presenter and facilitator; confident, warm and professional  • Twelve credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies   • Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ.
