CURE International is seeking a Certified Athletic Trainer for our hospital in the Dominican Republic. This position would require relocation to Santo Domingo for a 1 year or 2 year time commitment.
Summary: CURE has the opportunity to serve Major League Baseball (MLB) teams that have a presence in the Dominican Republic. Our ability to work with MLB, offering a U.S. based medical care option, will
also benefit Domincan families by allowing CURE to heal more children and have a wider reach across the nation. We have an established hospital in Santo Domingo, with Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeons and an excellent nursing and medical staff.
Requirements: As a CURE Athletic Trainer, you will be able to recognize, manage and rehabilitate injuries to professional and amateur athletes. You will be a part of providing after practice and clinic
coverage for Major League Baseball organizations on a regular basis. The Trainer will also be a liaison between the team and the hospital staff and orthopedic surgeons.
The right person will have completed his or her Bachelor's degree in a medical related field and be currently certified by the National Athletic Trainers Board Certification as an ATC. Candidates must be licensed for work within the United States,
be fluent in both English and Spanish, and have an interest in living and working abroad. Prior participation in training programs related to the ATC field is preferred. Knowledge of developing country settings and/or previous cross-cultural
experience is a plus.
