Job Description:
Mission Aviation Fellowship located in Nampa, Idaho is currently looking to fill the position of a Director, Marketing & Communications.

DIVISION/DEPT: Office of the President

PURPOSE: To lead a team with the purpose of inspiring others to partner with MAF in sharing the love of Jesus Christ to isolated people.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Creates, directs and implements annual strategic marketing plan, including strategic marketing campaigns
• Oversees development and production of promotional and collateral materials
• Directs development and administration of marketing database
• Oversees electronic marketing efforts, including website design and maintenance
• Develops, manages and oversees implementation of the annual PR and communications plan
• Oversees corporate communications
• Develops and nurtures relationships with the local and national media
• Ensures consistent application of high performance factors within the team, which involves training and coaching, and providing direction

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelors degree from an accredited college; concentration in Marketing, Business or Communications preferred
• Five years experience in the fields of communications and/or marketing management, at a director level. Experience in a nonprofit organization preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
• Creative, strategic, and analytical thinker
• Project management skills with attention to detail
• Strong working knowledge of latest web development, publications, e-communications, branding and market research techniques and practices
• Proven track record of achieving donor income targets of over $2 million annually
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Thorough understanding of all components of a diversified funding base
• Leadership and consensus building skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Demonstrate a personal Christian faith and witness in all personal interactions
• Office environment requires the use of a telephone, computer, and other office equipment
• Interaction with other people for information and responding to questions
• Local and international travel
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
